Rhythm vocabulary

Levels follow the rhythm progression of Virginia's 2020 Music Standards of Learning for high school instrumental music (Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, Artist). Ensemble fits are a starting point for Hickory's lineup. Switch any figure on or off to match your pacing guide. Playback sounds a concert B♭ for each note so students hear the length, not just the attack.
